National Evaluation Team Conducts Site Visit to Al-Ameed University College of Medicine
As part of the activities of the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq, a national evaluation team visited the Al-Ameed University College of Medicine from 15–17 February 2026 to assess the college’s progress toward achieving international standards for medical education accreditation.
During the three-day site visit, the evaluation team worked through several specialized subcommittees that carried out on-site inspections of the college’s facilities and its affiliated teaching hospitals. The visit focused on reviewing the institutional measures and developmental steps taken by the college to meet accreditation requirements and strengthen the quality of medical education.
The team also held a series of meetings and discussions with administrative leaders, academic staff, and medical students to gain a comprehensive understanding of the educational environment and to evaluate the academic, educational, and administrative processes within the college.
The visit reflected the college’s commitment to continuous improvement and readiness for accreditation, while the college administration demonstrated full cooperation and provided the logistical support necessary for the evaluation team to perform its duties effectively.
