National Assessor Training Course

Under the patronage of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority/Accreditation Department, the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges conducted a basic training course to prepare a new batch of the national assessment team for the period 1-4 December 2025, virtually via the Zoom platform.

One of the main objectives of the course is to understand the concept of national standards and discuss them in depth through small group discussions. The course also covers the roles and responsibilities of the head and members of the national assessment team, writing the Site Visit Report (SVR), and understanding the fundamentals of medical education.

The course employed several teaching methods, including:

1- Interactive lectures by members of the council.

2- Small group discussions.

3- Peer learning facilitated by members of the national assessment team.

Multiple assessment methods were used, and specific forms were developed for this purpose:

1- Pre-test.

2- Post-test.

3- Daily assignments.

4- Daily evaluation throughout the course, including attendance and active participation.
